Good data. It would be good to know how to come off PPIs without a firewall in the gut!

That is a great question and one that comes up often. The process of coming off PPIs (proton pump inhibitors) isn’t always straightforward, especially after long-term use. While these medications can be essential in certain situations, many people continue taking them far longer than necessary, sometimes without reassessing their ongoing need.

Tapering off PPIs safely requires a strategic approach, as the body can rebound with increased acid production. I’ll be covering this topic in more depth in an upcoming newsletter, including practical strategies and considerations for those looking to transition off them thoughtfully and with support.
